NEU Faculty of Medicine’s “Practices to Combine Technological Developments with Life in a Scientific Environment” appreciated at the European Neurological Academy Congress

The 3rd Congress of the European Academy of Neurology was held in Amsterdam, Netherlands, in June 2017. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Amber Eker, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bahar Kaymakamzade and specialist Dr. Suzan Ersoy from Faculty of Medicine, Department of Neurology, took part in the congress and made presentations on four studies and cases from the Faculty of Medicine of Near East University.

NEU Press and Public Relations Directorate has stated that Dr. Bahar Kaymakamzade delivered a speech titled “3D printed scalp model for EEG training”. There were also summarized the results of experimental studying of students with the use of 3D printed skull model, provided by the NEU 3D Laboratories.

During the presentation Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bahar Kaymakamzade from Faculty of Medicine, President of Department of Pediatric Surgery and NEU 3D Laboratories Medical Supervisor Dr. Emil Mammadov have stressed out the importance of 3D printing technologies in the field of medicine and education, and also explained the process of 3D modeling and writing. At the end of their speech, doctors have shown the photographs and videos of the ongoing projects of NEU 3D Laboratories.

In general our doctors were satisfied with the high level of organization of the congress and they also successfully represented the achievements of Near East University in the field of 3D technologies and medicine.
